2.  Here is our school

3.  Our school got a Green Flag earlier this year for good recycling. Now we are trying to earn our Energy Flag even though it might take a few years! ◦ Green Flag!!!

4.  Our school was fitted with insulation a few weeks ago. We got it to keep the heat from escaping outside. Most of the classrooms and corridors got the new insulation.

5.  Last year we had a Swap Shop. Everybody brought in a toy or game they didn’t use anymore and they got a token. Then they used the token to get something else. It was great because it taught everyone what recycling is!

6.  Every class in our school has a bin for waste and another bin for recycling. We do a lot of recycling so we have boys in every class who empty the Recycling bin every few days.

7.  Remember paper, cardboard and plastic bottles can all be recycled. We also have a Clothes Bank for recycling old clothes and Battery Banks to recycle batteries that are wasted!

8.  Our school has a Green Committee made up of boys from second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth class. They think of new ideas about how to recycle!

9.  Every class has 1 or 2 boys to make sure the lights are off when we go outside. That saves our school a lot of money paying for the electricity!
