3 A Cloverbud Club is Small group of six to eight children (per adult helper) For grades K-3 rd Enrolled as a group through the LSU Ag Center 4-H Program

4 At the first Cloverbud Meeting Introduction and Application form Pledge of Allegiance 4-H Pledge 1-2 activities (youth can help decide) Snacks Clean Up 2 nd and 4 th Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30pm or combine it with Girl Scouts Troop

6 Objectives of Cloverbuds Develop self-understanding and confidence in a relaxed setting Gain knowledge through the experiential learning process Develop positive attitudes toward learning Develop on-going relationships with caring adults and older youth Make new friends Learn how to share, work together, compromise, and resolve conflict

8 4-H Cloverbud Activities and Timeline DEADLINE: September 25 Cloverbuds Competitive Exhibits (6 Projects) September 22 Trinity Heights Baptist Church 6:30PM Bake Off September 26 Pet Show-State Fairgrounds Barns October – Nutrition Knowledge – Halloween Party November – Label Lingo – Bring can goods for Northwest Food bank December – Christmas Breakfast/ Senior Citizen for Christmas Joy January/February – Science Project Competition

9 Girl Scouts Troop Yearly Events October – Pennies for Cancer (American Cancer Society) November – Can Goods and Badge Activity December – Senior Citizen for Holiday Cheer and Badge Activity January – Honor Martin Luther King and Badge Activity February – Valentine Project for Community and Badge Activity March – Earth’s Day Community Awareness at Recreation/Library Center April – Cookie Drive May - CAMPING
