63 Sea Turtle Nesting Data from monitored areas of the county’s coastline indicate that Nearly 50% of the Green turtle nests and 20% of the Loggerhead turtle nests were washed out as a result of the storm. Over a 15 mile area, 1,200 nests were lost.
