3. What is plagiarism? Plagiarism is handing in someone else’s work to your teacher and putting your name on it. (It is stealing)

4. Plagiarism is... Copying words, pictures, music, and ideas from someone without giving them the credit.

5. Plagiarism is... Copying someone else’s work without their permission.

6. So ….. If you did not come up with the original idea, words, or music, then it doesn’t belong to you.

7. And….. Using it without getting permission or giving credit to the person who created it is stealing!

8. And….. Stealing is against the law.

9. If you want to use someone else’s work….. use it right! Use quotation marks around all words and phrases copied from a source and cite it!

10. Give the person credit who created any of the ideas you use.

11. Put information into your own words but remember to still give credit where credit is due!

12. Finally.... List all of the sources that you used.
