1 If playing SOL-opoly on the gameboard, students select a playing piece. If playing on an overhead each team selects a color or transparency game piece for play. Roll the die to determine who goes first. First player rolls the die and moves that many spaces. The card for that property is worth a particular number of points. The teacher asks the student a question and if the response is correct the student receives that many points and the card for that property. If they are incorrect they return to their previous space. If they have received the card for that property, each time someone now lands on that space they are asked a question and if they are correct they receive the amount of points that property is worth but if they miss that question the property owner has the opportunity to respond and if correct receives the points. When a player lands on Community Chest or Chance space they draw the corresponding card and respond accordingly. Each time a player passes the Old Dominion space they receive 50 points. Play continues until all properties are owned or until someone has more than 394 points (the age of Virginia since English settled here).
