Plan made in 1906 by a consortium of Americans, Russians and French.

4. Bering Strait Bridge /Tunnel Proposal
In June 2005, Rev. Moon announced his proposal to develop the Bering Strait project, essentially as an endeavor for world peace.
The Universal Peace Federation has been promoting this peace initiative in conferences and venues around the world.
In December 2005, PK International was established in Korea to promote the practical furtherance of this proposal.

5. Bering Strait Bridge /Tunnel Proposal
This proposal is significant in two ways:
It has high symbolic value for peace, in particular by linking the former enemy nations of the US and Russia; and bridging two continents.
It has immense practical value by greatly facilitating the global transport, exchange of goods, increased interaction and engagement of the world’s peoples.
