3 Finançat per: Cap de fila / Coordinador:Socis: 3 12/05/2015 THE CREAMED PROJECT CREAMED, THE FIRST European project for the Euroregion Pyrenees- Mediterranean - Goal: To create a Euroregional network of business incubators - Partners: - EGTC Pyrenees-Mediterranean -Synersud, the network of incubators in Languedoc-Roussillon -Rezopep, the network of business incubators in Midi-Pyrénées -Midi-Pyrénées Expansion -The Government of Catalonia – Department of Labour and Employment –DG of Social and Cooperative Economy -ParcBIT Technology park, Balearic Islands - Project duration: 2 and a half years 15 November 2010 – 30 June 2013 - Budget : € 1.477.249,61 - ERDF funding : € 1.107.937,20 (i.e.75%) - Co-financed by the Interreg IV B SUDOE territorial cooperation programme -

An economic development strategy for the Euroregion : - To structure joint action around the creation of innovative and sustainable businesses that cannot be relocated. - To stimulate exchanges between new companies -To create synergies in the approach to supporting incubation and the development of companies, especially internationalization. Data demonstrating this need for cooperation: -Business incubators are in high demand. -The survival rate of hosted companies is much higher than the average: 70% to 80% compared with less than 50%. -The creation of regional networks has had a positive impact in every territory, often becoming a tool for regional development. 5 Finançat per: Cap de fila / Coordinador:Socis: 5 12/05/2015 89 assistance and hosting structures (98 sites): -19 structures in Languedoc-Roussillon -20 structures in Midi-Pyrenees (27 sites) -49 structures in Catalonia -One structure in the Balearic Islands (5 sites) Over 1 400 innovative businesses assisted in the following sectors: Biotechnologies/health, ITC, space and on- board systems, renewable energy sources, agro-industries, tourism, commerce, electronics, mechanics, etc. CREAMED, A NETWORK OF DYNAMIC INCUBATORS

Creamed has provided companies and incubators with opportunities to get to know one another, share ideas and create a network How can we continue to support entrepreneurship together? An active network of incubators and cooperation synergies  At stake: keeping the network active Leading, enriching, informing, etc. Working tools created  At stake: sharing, using and taking ownership of existing tools Bringing those tools to life

Creamed has allowed to know each other, exchange and structure a network -Unanimously, beneficiaries, European bodies, partners and management bodies of the SUDOE programme agree on the success of Creamed project. -This agreement paves the way for a reflection on the continuation of this project and, beyond, the exploration of new actions brought by the teachings of the achievements and common results. - The latest contacts with the SUDOE programme managers give several important information to take into account for a Creamed II project development.

Proposal for Creamed II architecture: - The public of Creamed II will be restricted to more easily touch hosted business - To adapt to the requirements of contribution to the objectives of the programme. - It follows from Creamed that some nurseries have been more responsive and involved than others. - To place first these nurseries will increase the production capacity and ensure high quality of service to start-ups. A limited audience to affect businesses in priority Actions ensured from Creamed New actions for business incubators, but moreover for start-ups
