59 GRAMMAR Verbs That Add -sGRAMMAR Verbs That Add -s Sometimes when we use a verb, we have to add letters to the word. When two people jump, the verb jump has no -s at the end. When one person jumps, we add - s at the end. When one person or animal does the action, we add -s to the end of the verb. Change the sentence so the verb will have -s added to the end: Two dogs eat. Five babies sleep. Ten children run.
