1 Happy New Year: Kick Off A Healthy 2014! Let’s start 2014 out with healthy habits and smart eating. Most of us make New Year’s Resolutions that involve positive changes in our lifestyles. Eating more healthy food, starting to work out, stopping smoking, and losing weight are some of the most common resolutions that we make. The question is, how can we keep our resolutions and avoid the obstacles that can derail us? The holidays are over and now is the time to get back on track! Let’s start 2014 out with healthy habits and smart eating. Most of us make New Year’s Resolutions that involve positive changes in our lifestyles. Eating more healthy food, starting to work out, stopping smoking, and losing weight are some of the most common resolutions that we make. The question is, how can we keep our resolutions and avoid the obstacles that can derail us? Make Family-Friendly New Years Resolutions and support each other throughout the year! Here are a few examples: 1.Stop eating junk food/fast food 2.Go for a family walk in the evening twice a week 3.Donate hair to Locks of Love 4.Learn new things (music, reading, art, sports, etc.) 5.Try one new healthy family meal per week 6.Save $1 of allowance a week in a jar 7.Drink eight glasses of water every day Set an overall family goal as well as an individual goal with each family member, decide on a plan of action, and start working towards your goals!
