2. The white dolphins colour The Chinese White Dolphin is normally light grey or a whitish colour. The Chinese White Dolphin also can have a tint of pink as well. The reason Chinese White Dolphins can be pink is because of excessively developed blood vessel's in their skin. The dolphins are usually more of a pinkish colour in colder waters because more blood is around to warm the body up.

3. habitat The Chinese White dolphin lives in China mainly around the Soko Islands, Peng Chau and Lantau. 4. Feeding habits Chinese White Dolphins eat small to medium sized fish. Chinese White Dolphins like other dolphin species use echo location to find their way around and to find food in murky water. Dolphin using echo location

5. predators The main natural predators are large sharks and killer whales. Humans also kill the dolphins for their meat and because the dolphins compete for fish with fisherman. Humans also affect the dolphins through making noise such as boat motors which interrupt the dolphins echo location.

6. Other interesting facts Life Span: The Chinese White Dolphins Average life span is 40 years. The age of it is determined by the cross section of their teeth. Evolution: Dolphins are have been around for more then 50 million years from evidence of fossils that have been discovered. Baby Dolphins [Calf]: Baby dolphins have to come to the surface for air twice as much as the adults. This is because they don’t develop their full lung capacity until they are much older. Scientific Name: The Chinese White Dolphins scientific name is Sousa Chinensis.
