3 What could throw off your homeostasis? Pathogen – something that causes disease (example: bacteria or a virus)

4 What happens if the body can’t keep its homeostasis? If the body can’t maintain it’s homeostasis, it can cause permanent damage or death!

8 In the center of the bone is the red bone marrow. It produces… (3 things – look on pg 903 of your book) 1.Red blood cells (carry oxygen in your blood) 2.White blood cells (fight infection) 3.Cell fragments (help your blood clot)

9 Problems with Bones Leukemia – cancer of the bone marrow.

10 Osteoporosis – the bones do not have enough calcium and therefore become soft or brittle
