2 Brief CV of Presenter Andre Farrugia FCII AIRM Chartered Insurance Practitioner Initiated insurance career in 1992 working for an insurance company Currently – Director of Studies at MITC Visiting lecturer at MCAST Obtained the Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute later achieving the Fellowship of the same Institute Furthered studies in Risk Management obtaining the Associateship of the Institute of Risk Management and currently completing the Fellowship with the same Institute Preparing to embark on a PhD on Insurance with Napier University Scotland

8 Functions MITC serves as the academic body for participants to obtain certification, diplomas and qualifications Provides a professional qualifications ladder Provides a stepping stone in obtaining internationally recognised qualifications (example: The MITC Applied Insurance Studies Diploma is fully recognised by the Chartered Insurance Institute, other MITC products attract CII credits) Serves as a medium for prospective employment Analysis industry training needs and delivers programmes to meet these requirements effectively
