Pre Game

Pre Game starts with travel plans on Monday night, at the latest by Tuesday. Please check your bag before game day. Arrive at site at least 11/2 hrs before kick off.

Meet with coaches when you arrive or when you take the field. Talk about what you are going to do when you walk the field and what everyone is responsible for. Talk about coin toss respnsiblities.

Go over pre snap responsibilities, as counting the offense, defense, number of players on line of scrimmage, motion man coverage, and signals for all these things. Go over kickoff mechanics and all rules pertaining to kickoff’s.

Talk about the running game and all officials coverage's. Talk about the passing game. This is very important knowing all of the right keys so that everyone is on the same page.

Talk about goal line coverage and who is going to make the call when the wing officials take the goal over. Go over the punt coverage and all of the things that can happen on this play. This is always the hardest play in the football game.

Field goals and extra points. Talk all coverage's and all of the different things that can happen. Talk about who does what on measurements.

Talk about the sidelines and remember to control them early in the game. Talk about penalty enforcement and how you are going to work and communicate penalties with your co officials and coaches.

Be professional but have fun with the game and the kids.
