11 Data Sources Direct Care (most monthly some nightly)
Purchased Care (monthly updates) Enrollment information (monthly updates) DEERS enrollment info is the key to all metrics and lists Only enrolled pts appear on lists Metrics reflect only data through the enrollment date User Entered Data (updated nightly) The key to all data in the MHSPHP is the enrollment data from DEERS. HEDIS metrics are all tied tightly to the enrollment date and therefore anything that occurred after the enrollment date (posted at the top of every page in the MHSPHP) is NOT included in any metric.

12 Why are metrics only updated monthly?
Metrics are tied to enrollment Enrollment information released from DEERS monthly Metrics only reflect tests or encounters that occurred prior to that end enrollment date We don’t know if pt enrolled after that date Indentifying patients for lists based on encounter/enrollment data up to that end enrollment date

13 Direct Care Data Sources: Nightly Updates
Lab test data updated nightly on action lists and patient charts A1C, Cholesterol, Paps Tests are pulled by test name and/or CPT codes If MTF changes test name, please verify data reaches MHSPHP Mammograms updated nightly Tests are pulled by name and/or CPT codes Colorectal screens updated nightly Metrics are only run monthly
