6 A Need Identified When visiting Cardiac Rehabilitation programs across the region as a component of her new job, Kathleen Rausch, UPCRA member, noted that most of the smaller UPCRA programs: Are one-man operations Are one-man operations Have had staff turnover Have had staff turnover Personnel hold multiple hospital roles, ie, QA manager, DON, OB director, etc Personnel hold multiple hospital roles, ie, QA manager, DON, OB director, etc

Goal: provide accessible, inexpensive opportunities for education for Cardiopulmonary Rehab personnel in UPCRA region Goal: provide accessible, inexpensive opportunities for education for Cardiopulmonary Rehab personnel in UPCRA region –Propose to offer 12 monthly teleconferences/videoconferences to all CR/PR professionals for a $25 fee –Fee is waived for any site with an UPCRA member

15 Programming Audio presentations are offered monthly – 3 rd Thursday of the month 12-1pm CT. Participants dial access code to enter audio presentation. Arranged through phone company – Quest. Members can follow power point presentation on their PC’s or have a hard copy of presentation to follow.
