9 BRAC Subcabinet 9 BRAC Subcabinet Mission Statement  Mission Enable the State of Maryland to fulfill its responsibility to support our nation’s defense and security efforts while maximizing the benefits and opportunities resulting from the U.S. Department of Defense’s BRAC process Through a regional approach, the Subcabinet will coordinate State activities and work with the federal and local governments to prepare for and accommodate incoming households and jobs while sustaining and enhancing the quality of life throughout the State  Mission Enable the State of Maryland to fulfill its responsibility to support our nation’s defense and security efforts while maximizing the benefits and opportunities resulting from the U.S. Department of Defense’s BRAC process Through a regional approach, the Subcabinet will coordinate State activities and work with the federal and local governments to prepare for and accommodate incoming households and jobs while sustaining and enhancing the quality of life throughout the State
