1
Users log on with a remote login facility. This is where a secure user name and password is entered.
2
When logged in the user will view their vehicle activity data. This will show the vehicles ignition status in green for “on” or blue for “off”. It will show the time date and last position of the fleet.
3
By selecting a vehicle the user will see all of the activities of this vehicle for that day. Starting with the most current update going down to the first update.
4
If the user selects a vehicle and clicks the “Show Vehicle on Map” button the vehicle will appear on the map. The system will always place the vehicle in the centre of the map. It will highlight the vehicle in red in case there are other vehicles around it. Normally the vehicle icon would be either green or blue to match the ignition status
5
This view shows the vehicle at one of the 12 mapping zoom levels from outline to street level. The next two views show two higher levels.
7
In this view you can see other vehicle around our selected vehicle. Again the highlighted vehicle is showing in red.
8
The vehicles will automatically update every 10 minutes. If you require a current position within this time it is possible to request a current location by clicking the “Get Current Location” button. The position request is shown in the activity log by a blue “Q”.
9
This function allows users to send messages to the Navman MDT-800 messaging terminal.
10
This is the panel that allows the user to enter text to send to the MDT-800. The user can enter up to 400 characters. It is also possible to select individual or all of the vehicles and send the same message. The MDT-800 can then reply with preset replies ie “Arrived On Site”, “Job Completed” etc
11
This function allows users to click on the map and display the nearest vehicle to that point. For example the user could search for a postcode, when the system takes the user to that point then right clicking on the map will display the nearest vehicle to that point.
12
This function allows users produce reports on the activities of the vehicle fleet going back to when the system was first installed.
13
This is an example of a historic activity report.
14
This is an example of a mileage report.
15
This function allows users to replay a journey.
16
This search function allows the user to search for a full postcode or street name, of part thereof. When found the system will take the map to that location.
17
The system is provided with full manuals and also an online context sensitive help.
