Students: Go to www.tcci.naviance.com/bxscience or to the Bronx Science homepage and click on Naviance. Then: 1. Click on “I need to register” on the right. 2. Enter your OSIS number as the registration code. 3. Enter additional information.www.tcci.naviance.com/bxscience

Monitor your records Public Junior High School students- verify to make sure your transcript reflects all Regents taken in middle school Private Junior High School Students- make your counselor aware of any accelerated classes taken in middle school

11 Yearly Requirements Minimum of 5 majors English, Social Studies, Lab Science, Math, Foreign Language Every student will take at least one AP course before graduation Physical Education every term Must pass all requirements each term No make ups in summer school

12 Advanced Regents With Honors Diploma Why is this valuable? Requires 90 + average on 9 required Regents exams Comprehensive English 3 mathematics 2 sciences (one physical science/one life science) US History & Government Global History & Geography Foreign language Mastery in Mathematics & Science: Receive an 85 + on 3 Regents in Math/Science or Both

13 Bronx Science Diploma Pass 10 Regents English Global & US History Algebra, Geometry, & Algebra II / Trig Biology, Chemistry, & Physics (Students in 9 th grade who are taking Chemistry, must take a Biology Lab Science) Foreign Language Take and pass at least one AP course

14 PSATs What is the PSAT? Why do you take it? Practice for SAT Identify strengths Identify areas for improvement Can factor in course selection

15 SAT Subject Tests / SAT II 5 Subject Areas English Literature History/Social Studies Math Science Foreign Language Take exams in areas of academic strength while taking that course (or the highest level of that course) Recommend taking between 2 and 3 SAT subject tests
