The wording is prescribed by the Constitution.

4. Inauguration Ball A celebration for the inauguration of the new president with a large party or dance The Obamas will be attending several inaugural balls in Washington, DC the night of the inauguration.

5. Chief Justice the presiding judge of the U.S. Supreme Court. John G. Roberts, Jr., the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, will administer the oath of office to Barack Obama.

6. Swearing In an official ceremony where a person takes an oath of office, allegiance, etc. When swearing an oath, the new president promised that he would do his best in his job.

7. Constitution a system of laws and principles of a government in a written document. The Constitution of the United States is the law of the land.

8. Commander-in-Chief the commander of the nation's military forces. The President of the United States is in charge of all branches of the military and decides when the United States needs to fight in a war.
