27 27  Fit of individuals’ characteristics to the demands placed on team members by different structures – In divisional structures, jobs are complex and have fairly high levels of autonomy » High cognitive ability may be better here – In functional structures, roles are fragmented and there are high levels of interdependence, making coordination very important » Agreeable team members may be important – In misaligned structures/environments, high levels of stress or conflict may occur » Emotional stability is important in dealing with this Fixed Structures (Hollenbeck et al., 2002)
