Colossians 3:17

3 The Context Colossians chapter 3 describes the new man in Christ Jesus, that has put to death the deeds of the flesh and has been baptized into Christ, having his sins washed away. every act, word, and deed that the child of God does should be done to the honor of God.

5 The Authority of Christ
The term ‘name’ does not always refer to one’s designation. ‘Name’ can have reference to one’s position, power, authority, and rule. Jesus has all authority as head of His church - Col 1:15-18 When one is baptized in the name of Jesus, it is the act of calling on His name as Lord and Savior - Acts 2:38

6 The Life With Christ Every aspect of the life of a Christian is to be brought into harmony with Christ’s will - Col 3:17 Morality - Col 3:5-10 Relationships - Col 3:12-21 Work Ethic - Col 3:22-4:1

7 The Glory With Christ The day when Christ is revealed from heaven will be a day of triumph gladness for those who are His Children - Col 3:4; 1 Thess 4:14-17 The return of Christ will be a sad day for those who do not obey the gospel of hope - 2 Thess 1:7-9 For those who do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus, then there is hope!
