Just Accept Jesus As Your Savior Just accept Jesus as your personal savior is one of the most popular religious slogans today Accepting Jesus as our personal savior is a scriptural idea, but how do we do it? Do we do it by praying the sinners prayer (Acts 2:21; Rom. 10:13)? No! Do we do it by faith only (Jas. 2:20-26)? No!

We Must Hear HEARING Jesus is a part of salvation (Acts 2:22; 10:22,44) When we hear we accept Jesus teaching (Mt. 7:24; Lk. 6:46-47; 10:16; Jn. 14:24) We accept Jesus words and reject the words of men (Mt. 17:5; 1 Thess. 2:13; Heb. 1:1-2)

We Must Believe BELIEVING Jesus is a part of salvation (Acts 10:43; 13:39,48; 16:30; Rom. 1:16; 10:9-10) When we believe we accept Jesus claims of deity; he was more than just a man (Jn. 3:18; 8:24; 14:1,10-11; 16:27; 17:8,20-21; 20:29-31) We accept Jesus claims and reject mans false claims about him (1 Jn. 4:1-3)

6
We Must Confess CONFESSING Jesus is a part of salvation (Acts 8:37; Rom. 10:9-10) When we confess we accept Jesus position as Lord and Master and pledge our allegiance to him (Mt. 10:32) We accept Jesus position and reject mans denial of him (Jn. 9:22; 12:42; Acts 24:14; 1 Tim. 6:12-13; 1 Jn. 2:23; 4:2-3, 15; 2 Jn. 7)

We Must Be Baptized BAPTIZING one into Jesus is a part of salvation (Acts 2:38; 22:16; etc.) When we are baptized we accept Jesus death, burial, and resurrection (Jn. 3:3,5; Mk. 16:15-16) We accept Jesus death and reject mans life of sin (Rom. 6:3-11)
8
We Must Be Living Faithfully LIVING faithfully in the body (church) of Jesus is a part of salvation (Ac. 2:47; Eph. 5:23) When we are baptized into the body of Christ we accept Jesus headship over the body and submit to him (Mt. 16:18; Acts 20:28) We accept Jesus headship and reject mans autonomy and lack of submission (Eph. 1:22-23; 4:15-16; Col. 1:18; 2:10,18-19)
