2 Downloading the Software Using the Software Reviewing the Manual Creating a New File Using Several Different Tools *Note: Reference the WinABMS manual 1492-UM001C-EN-E for more details Creating and Sending in an Order Questions WinABMS Training will include*:

4 Go to: http://www.ab.com/industrialcontrols/ software/termblock/index.html - OR - Order the software 1492-PLSOFT from PASSPORT

5 Downloading the software Scroll down Going to the website, youll see this:

6 Downloading the software WinABMS Software will appear: Select Download WinABMS software

7 Downloading the software Save As… will appear: Save this file, from the website or the software disk 1492- PLSOFT, to your Desktop

8 Downloading the software Now, go to your Desktop: Select ABMSInst.exe

9 Downloading the software Choose a Language: Select Continue

10 Downloading the software Screen before the Installation: Select Yes

11 Downloading the software The software will be installed in C:\Program Files\WinABMS Select Continue

12 Downloading the software Create this new Directory: Select Yes

13 Downloading the software After the installation, you will see: Select Ok

22 Using the software : Creating a File Select the Base Plate *: Select Ok *Note: 1492-PLATE = Marker Cards, 1492-PLATE2 = IDC Marker Cards, 1492-PLTMR = Marking Rod, and PLTDINA3 = Adhesive Labels For this example, well use Allen Bradley WinABMS

24 Using the software : Creating a File Gray Frame has (6) compartments for (6) marker cards 1 2 3 4 5 6

25 Using the software : Creating a File Zoom in to previous screen: Select Zoom In two times

26 Using the software : Creating a File Create a Marker Card: Double click the dark gray area

27 Using the software : Creating a File Adding the Markercard Information*: Select your specific Marker Card *Note: The Name is optional Then, select OK

39 Using the software : Different Tools Adding Consecutive Numbers: The marker card now has AB1 through AB50* *Note: Where the blue box is, that is where the information starts

40 Using the software : Different Tools Changing the Layout: Select Format, Layout, then Style 2 You can Select the Horizontal A, on the tool bar OR

41 Using the software : Different Tools Changing the Layout: The layout changes from Style 1 (Vertical) to Style 2 (Horizontal)* *Note: The red boxes identify that there is too much information in these boxes; therefore, all of this information will not be shown when this marker card is printed

65 Creating and Sending in an Order The Distributor sends in the order to the email address* : RAMilwCustomMarkers@ra.rockwell.com The following should be included in the email: Allen Bradley order number (in the subject of the email) Created WinABMS file (attached to the email) Quantity (the number of needed copies of the WinABMS file) Company information (with a contact name and number in the email) After the file is saved: The Distributor gets an order number from PASSPORT *Note: Email only custom orders that are not identified in the Terminal Block Selection Guide or Industrial Controls Catalogue
