3 Dimensions of Enterprise? enterprise - having an idea, and taking advantage of the opportunities to make it happen Being enterprising doesn’t have to mean starting up your own business. You can be enterprising in all areas of work and business which will help further your career…… What skills and attributes do I need to be more enterprising? Passion and Vision Communication Skills Organisation and Planning Networking Team-working Making an Impression Adaptability Blue sky thinking coming up with a host of ideas without being restricted to what is practical.

4 Three easily confused concepts Enterprise – having an idea, and taking advantage of the opportunities to make things happen Entrepreneurship – an activity which leads to the creation and management of a new organisation designed to pursue a unique, innovative opportunity (Hindle & Rushworth, 2000) Intrapreneurs are "dreamers who do," those who take hands-on responsibility for creating innovation of any kind within an organization’. (Pinchot 1999) It’s not about starting a business – its about developing better students
