7 Reorganization of the resident logbook according to subspecialties

8 It will facilitate residency training It will encourage all the subspecialties to come up with their own fellowship programs

9 Residency logbook and subspecialty logbook Should include the same items The level of each procedure should change (a) Trainee assists the trainer (s) Trainee requires supervision/assistance by the trainer (i) Trainee performs the procedure/management independently/alone

12 What is needed? All the subspecialty organizations should come with a logbook and training program The UEMS-ENT and the representives of all these subspecialty organizations should give a final shape to the residents logbook Very Difficult

13 European Board Examination in ORL, Head and Neck Surgery EAFPS is actively involved in both oral and written exams EAFPS has provided both oral guided questions and MCQs No feedback on the quality of the questions No chance to comment on the questions of undisclosed origin that were included in the written part of the exam The representative of EAFPS (Koen Ingels) should be allowed to screen the FPRAS MCQs included in the Exam

16 Subspecialty Training Programme in FPRAS (42 pages) Introduction Definition of the subspecialty Description and requirements for the training centre Trainee Programme director Programme Evaluation Content of the logbook Charters on training and visitation Required literature and scientific journals to be mastered

17 We did some changes and gave a final form to the fellowship logbook

18 Currently we have 8 recognised fellowship programmes available

19 The reason not to publish the 2 year programme Open questions and frank criticism regarding overlapping of procedures with subspecialties such as HNS Lack of training facilities Funding of a 2 year fellowship

32 Road map National delegates and EAFPS members should work closely with national ENT societies and UEMS-ORL delegates Please affiliate your working group or FPS society with your National ENT Society Try build the FPS program of a general annual ENT meeting through your FPS group Be active in your country in educating the residents and collegues
