2 August 2008 NEEDS OF PEOPLE Food - Nutrition Fiber- Health Shelter - Protect the body from the dangers in the environment

3 August 2008 SOURCES OF FOOD Plants - vegetables, fruits, nuts Animals - beef,pork,lamb,poultry, etc.

4 August 2008 TERRESTRIAL ANIMALS Animals that grow on land Examples are chicken, hogs, sheep, and cattle.

5 August 2008 AQUATIC ANIMALS Animals that live in the water. Examples are fish, shrimp, and clams.

6 August 2008 FIBER Materials used to make clothing and fabric products for the home. Common animal fibers are wool, fur, and silk. Common plant fibers are cotton, linen, and twine.

7 August 2008 FORESTRY Examples of forestry products are: Lumber Plywood Veneer Composition Board Paper

8 August 2008 DOMESTICATION Refers to humans bringing plants and animals to be near them and then providing for their protection and growth. The main benefit is that it increased the food supply.
