2. 2 Status up until September / October 2013:  Access to the T2S GUI (U2A) is not foreseen via the User Requirements  During 2009/2010 it was envisaged to offer the internet service as an “on top” service to the market, due to some synergies with the T2 solution  No specific technical design has been drafted, no budget was foreseen  Internet never intended to replace the use of VAN services  It was positioned as a low cost, low volume solution and communicated as such to the market / published in scope defining documents Internet Connectivity

3. 3 The T2S Board has recommended to the 4CB to consider the implementation of internet at a later stage after the end of the migration period  Focus on the essential elements of T2S going live -At this stage of the project there are multiple higher priority tasks in the development / testing / infrastructure areas of the project -To fully focus on the readiness of the T2S application, testing environments, etc. for the opening of the User Testing and Migration phases  Non-duplication of services already provided by the VANs -Internet is not an alternative to the other networks in the day-by-day operations and not a contingency network of VANs or DL networks -VAN providers are able to provide scalable solution that meet the volumetric needs of their customers -Since Internet-based access to T2S could be part of the (additional) services offered by the VANs, the interested DiCoAs can make an inquiry for the service and conditions Internet Connectivity

4. 4 Next Steps:  Minor Change request -A minor change request would be needed to the UDFS, to specify that the internet connection will be considered at a later stage of the project. The T2S Board would appreciate the support of the market with regards to supporting this change request and enabling focus on the go live of essential elements of T2S  Consideration of internet solution at a later stage -When T2S will be stabilised in operation, the Eurosystem will consider whether (and when) internet could be implemented and under which limits, in accordance with the T2S change management governance Internet Connectivity
