2. Before proceeding, iTunes needs to be installed on the workstation you are using. Why a professional iTunes account? Professional iTunes accounts will utilize school eMail accounts An iTunes account matching the teacher workstation will ease other issues with iPads Apps used for the classroom can be easily accessed and retrieved by school IT personnel if needed

3. Open iTunes From your computer workstation, open the iTunes application Click on the shortcut found on your desktop or Go to the Start button > All Programs > iTunes folder > iTunes

4. Click on the iTunes Store button

5. Sign out of another user’s iTunes Account You will need to sign out of any other user’s iTune’s account, even if it is your personal account. Click on the user’s name in the upper left hand corner of the screen under the menu bar. Select Sign Out before proceeding.

6. Click on App Store

7. Use the Scroll bar to find Top Free Apps It doesn’t matter which app is selected, just click on any free app.

8. Download Free App Click the Free button to begin the download.

9. Create an Account Click on the Create Apple ID button Click Continue on the next screen

10. Agree to Terms & Conditions Decide whether or not to read all the Terms and Conditions related to an iTunes account. Click the box that indicates that you have read the terms and conditions Click the Agree button to continue creating an iTunes account.

11. Provide Account Details Use school eMail Provide a familiar password Answer these questions and write down the questions and answers. You will need this information in the future. Provide a personal eMail address Uncheck these areas unless you wish to receive these notifications Click Continue

12. Payment Method Select the None option Fill out the Billing Address information using your first and last name and the address of the school you work in. Click the Create Apple ID

13. Verify your Account Click the OK button and follow the directions on the screen to complete the process
