Nouns A noun is a person, place, thing or idea. Nouns are the subject of the sentence. Examples: 1.Matt is a pro-golfer. 2.The bakery has fresh baked cookies. 3.Children were playing outside.
Types of Nouns Proper A noun that names a specific person, place or thing. She walked across the Purple People Bridge. Common A noun that does not name a specific person place or thing Christopher cut the grass.
Pronouns o Pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun. Examples 1.I sing loudly in the shower. 2.Everybody in the class is wearing a Halloween shirt. 3.My mom made sugar cookies.
Adjective o An adjective is a word that describes a noun or a pronoun Example 1.Sarah has curly hair.
