1 TRAVELLING AROUND VIETNAM HOÀNG CHINH - LAM GIANG

2 Unit Summary This is a lesson about the famous places in VietNam. After this lesson, students get some knowledge about their sights, accommodation, arrivals, weather… and about the potential and real situations of VietNam Travel. Then they can consult tourists about places where they will visit.

3 Curriculum-Framing Questions Essential Question What will we have to do to make a country become better and better? Unit Questions 1. Does our country attract so many tourists? Why? 2. How will we do to make tourists come back Viet Nam more times? Content Questions 1. Name some famous places in Viet Nam. 2. What do you know about their sights, accommodation, arrivals, weather and.....? 3. Tell something about World Heritage Sites in Viet Nam.

4 Travelling Project This project will help my students develop 21 st century skills by: Collaborating with peers. Analyzing the potential and real situations of Vietnam Travel. Then creating the solution to solve the real situations to develop Vietnam Travel. Communicating with others in a newsletter and slideshows.

5 Gauging Student Needs Assessment Purpose of the Assessment To gather information about what students already know and what they wonder about potential and real situations of Vietnam Travel. What I want to learn from my students? I want to find out what they already know about the Unit Questions and what they know about setting up the situations. How I have tried to promote higher-order thinking? I ask students to find relationships and draw conclusions about potential and real situations of Vietnam Travel What feedback or additional ideas I’d like? I would like to help on my assessment. I think I need to elicit more higher-order thinking, but I’m not sure how.
