5. IMPORTANT ANIMALS Cats were sacred in Egypt. The pharaoh wanted all the cats to kill the mice and rats. 6,000 years ago years ago Egyptians got lots of mice and rats. Ancient Egyptians would never kill a cat. One day an African wild cat wandered in to an Egyptian village.

6. Gods and Goddess Ra was the of the sun. Ra thought he created the sun. Set was attached to the desert. Bes brought joy and good luck to families. Horus was the child of Osiris and Isis. Anubis, people thought he created mummification, he wore a jackal mask. Hathor was the goddess of love and joy A temple was made for Hathor. Ma at was the daughter of sun god Ra.

7. Pyramids The sphinx guards the pyramids in Giza. This pyramid was the biggest pyramid, and very famous. The great pyramid took 20 years to build Most pyramids are to the west of the Nile. Pyramids were made in the dry desert to keep the pharaohs body's from rotting.
