4 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan Contracts Unit  What We Do Research Services is responsible for the primary coordination of research related contracts for the Office of the Vice-President Research.

5 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan Primary Functions:  a) drafting & negotiating agreements  b) pre/post award support and administration  c) development of research policies  d) acting as liaison – researchers/sponsors/admin units  e) providing information and being an educational resource

12 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan Signature Policy All must agree to the contract:  Researcher (aka “Principal Investigator”)  Department Head  Dean’s Office  Chair, Board of Governors representative  Secretary, Board of Governors representative

13 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan Fund Opening  Contract must be properly executed  All research funds in UniFi must be authorized by Research Services  Ethics and Biosafety approvals first Provide us with certificate #s ASAP please!
