7 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan What is Research Services? Research Services is the service and administrative component of the Office of the Vice-President Research designed to support research activities.

8 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan Research Services Consists Of…  Contracts Unit  Grants Unit  Innovation Programs Unit  International Research  Research Coordinators/ Facilitators

9 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan Contracts Unit Responsible for primary coordination of research related contracts  support contract growth by assisting with revenue opportunities  drafting/negotiating agreements

10 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan  pre- and post-award support and administration  development of research policies and procedures  acting as the liaison between funding agencies, researchers, and internal administrative units

11 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan Grants Unit Responsible for administration of grant activity including:  pre- and post-award administration  liaison between researchers, granting agencies, sponsors, and internal administrative units

12 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan Innovation Programs Unit Responsible for pre- and post-award administration for the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and Canada Research Chairs Program (CRC)

26 Research Services, University of Saskatchewan Funding for these initiatives is provided through the Indirect Costs of Research Program.
