Q. What are the three body types? Endomorph Mesomorph Ectomorph Q. What is the description for an Endomorph and what sports are they more suited too? A. What is the description for an Mesomorph and what sports are they more suited too? A. Triangle shape body/ tend to have greater amount of muscle/ low body fat/ involved in sports which require strength and sudden bursts of energy. Q. What is the description for an Ectomorph and what sports are they more suited too? A. Very low body fat/ low amount of muscle mass/ narrow shoulders and hips, most suited sports of long distance and endurance based (marathon)

Q. What does somatotype mean? A. It’s a term used to classify a body type. Q. What is Optimum Weight? A. A persons favourable weight in which they feel they can perform at their ‘best’. Some sports are weight specific, how could a sportsman lose weight? A. Decrease calorie intake/ increase exercise- or both.

Q. What does anorexic mean? A. Anorexic means ‘without appetite’ and a desire to become thin. It is a disease that can be very dangerous. Q. What does obese mean? A. What does ‘overfat’ mean? A. This describes a physique which has an excessive fat content. Q. What does overweight mean? A. Overweight is having weight in excess of normal in relation to height (not always harmful unless accompanied by overfatness)
