2 Programme – Opening session Sunday, 27 th November 19:00 -20:00 Welcome – and presentation of all partners. 19:15 - 19:45 AK News since last seminar: – AK Strategy 2010 – 2013 – Capacity Assessment of AK – New Partnerships 2010 and 2011 19:45 - 20:00 Objectives and expected results. 20:00 - 20:15 Programme of the seminar 20:15 – 21:00 Expectations of the seminar from all participants.

3 Programme - Opening session Elaboration of a AK Strategy 2010-2013: – some of the main conclusions – goals for 2013: – political lobbying and advocacy in Denmark and the EU; – strengthening the cooperation with CSOs and movements in Africa; – strengthening partnerships with CSOs and movements; – increasing active participation in national, regional and international networks, – strengthening the organisational capacity of AK.

4 Programme - Opening session Capacity Assessment – Analysis of AK – written feedbacks to partners on proposals, reports and visits; – further cooperation on providing studies for improving the understanding and measurements of effects/impacts of the intervention; – tools to enhance the partners’ own capacity for planning, monitoring, management and internal learning; – providing systematic tools and methods towards organisational development to increase the sustainability and performance of the partner organisations; – conduct a yearly partnership workshop; – cooperation of gender mainstreaming; – elaboration of an overall AK strategy outlining a geographical and thematic specialisation; – improving the financial management, budgeting and regular budget controls in AK and by partners.

5 Objectives and Expectations for the 2.nd seminar – AK view: – further strengthening the cooperation between AK and partners in South; – capacity building within the areas of project management, workshopping and learning by doing; – achieving some recommendations towards a new DANIDA strategy for the civil society in North/South ; Programme - Opening session

6 PROGRAMME OF THE SEMINAR: Day 1: “A political discussion on the democratisation process in the northern part of Africa (and the Middle East) with relevance - and possible consequences – for the CSOs in the South”: – ”Non Violent Civic Actions” –Lesson Learnt from the Arabic Spring, by Mr. TROND BOTNEN; – ”Aspects on Civil Rights and Mobilisation”, by Mr. MARTIN JANNSEN and Mr. BONGANI MASUKU. – ”AK vision and future strategy of the Danish Civil Society Strategy”, by MORTEN NIELSEN and FLEMMING ALSBJØRN Group work – plenum Programme - Opening session
