I am not just your average kind of girl that loves princesses and jewelry. The kind of girl I am is the kind that goes hunting. My hobby is going hunting. Hunting is fun and we eat the meat we get.
4
The first time I ever went hunting was when I was three. Of course my mom was doing the shooting at that time. I have watched as my dad skinned deer and hogs, so now I am not that grossed out. I did not kill any of these fawns!!!!
5
On November 6, 2011, when I was 8 years old I killed my first deer. I did this all by myself. It was a 4 pointer and I was so happy that I killed my first deer ever. My dad called my mom and his friend and they came to help us get it to camp.
6
I hit the deer in the lungs and he was dead instantly. We brought it back to camp and everybody said congratulations and then we left and took it by the deer processer and about a month later we picked up the meat and my deer mount.
8
Now that I am older I have a bow. I can shoot with a bow really well. My dad and I used to target practice but since it got cold we have not been practicing as much.
9
Before my dad let me even hold my gun he taught me GUN SAFETY RULES!
10
First, he said never point the gun at somebody, even if it is unloaded.
11
Next, he said keep your finger off of the trigger unless you are ready to shoot.
12
Finally, he said I must never touch my gun unless my parents tell me to.
13
Now on to bow safety. Before my dad ever even let me pull back my bow we had to go over the rules.
14
First, he said do not pull the bow back without an arrow. Next, he said do not point the bow at somebody. If you get one of these weapons please use the safety rules.

You would think a girl like this would stay a tomboy. Yet, when I got my first American Girl doll it was love at first sight. I also fell in love with my German shepherd, Kausi Barnero. I still go hunting a lot, but I also have a soft side.
