3 I NTRODUCTION Liverpool F.C. was founded in 1892 by John Houlding They are the second most successful team in the English Premier league with 18 titles They have also won the UEFA Champions League 5 times and plenty of domestic cup titles

4 B USINESS IDEA Have success in Football and achieve a world- class status in the sports industry. This allows to sell merchandise worldwide and make big sponsorship deals, as well as attract the best players to the club. They have been planning to invest in a new stadium to improve the profits from match days, but have not started the construction of New Anfield (60 000). The old one holds 45 000 viewers.

5 R AW MATERIALS AND EXPENDITURE Raw materials Players, staff, equipment, food&beverages, merchandise. Expenditure: Wages, transfer budget, training grounds, stadium, utilities (water, gas, electricity), organizing events (matches), management, design of posters, flyers, commercials. Dividends, loan repayments, taxes.

6 I NCOME, FINISHED GOODS AND MARKETING Income: Gate receipts, season tickets, tv revenue, merchandising, players sold, prize money, investments, interest, sponsorship, match day income (food&beverages), grants, fund raising. Finished goods: Merchandise, tickets for matches. Marketing: The team and matches worldwide via TV, internet, magazines etc.
