Thermal Energy By: Joe Tieman & Austin Schmitt

Definition Thermal Energy: – The combined potential and kinetic energy associated with random movements in the molecules of an object.

Examples Sun Stove Toaster Fire Geysers

Kinetic or Potential? Thermal energy is both kinetic and potential energy. Thermal energy is the total kinetic and potential energy in an object.

Thermal energy is both renewable and non renewable. When it is fossil fuel, it is non renewable because it can not be made again. Geothermal energy is renewable because the Earth is always making more of it.
