6 3/27/20086 New Mexico Department of Health SHARE Integrated Automated Time Collection (Kronos) Impact To DoIT Infrastructure  Data Center – This is a web-based hosted solution and will consume bandwidth.  Enterprise (Applications, H/W, S/W) – Support for software will be provided by the vendor. Hardware is included in the cost to host Kronos. NMDOH requires DoIT to maintain connectivity to the internet.

7 3/27/20087 New Mexico Department of Health SHARE Integrated Automated Time Collection (Kronos) Impact To DoIT Infrastructure Telecom (Network Bandwidth) – There will be network bandwidth usage for terminals and desktop computers to communicate with Kronos and for Kronos to communicate with SHARE. This is a hosted solution and vendor estimates the following will be the demand placed upon the network during the period of peak activity. All values are in Kilobits per Second.  Application Server(s) to Database Server:2,396 kbps  All Clients (terminals) to Application Server(s):1,489 kbps  Single Client (terminal) to Application Server:28 kbps This is based on approximately 2000 employees, 300 managers (editors), 60 clocks and a bi-weekly pay period.

9 3/27/20089 New Mexico Department of Health SHARE Integrated Automated Time Collection (Kronos) Conclusion  Improve on current manual business processes and standardize procedures and policy across the facilities  Assist DOH 24/7 Health Care facilities to manage workforce planning activities to ensure proper acuity (Patient to Staff Ratio) rates.  Improve electronic safeguards and edit process.  greater accuracy and accountability  reduction in errors from inaccurate time reporting.  Reduce the number of hours required to submit and approve work time
