2. UPS2000 UPGRADE Description –Upgrade current UPMS system to UPS2000 Justification –Current UPMS system (1998) uses FoxPro application which is no longer supported by the department –New application with be web-based in a SQL Server environment

Appropriations Unclaimed Property (Fund 710): $250,000 7-8A-13 NMSA 1978-Allows for the fund to be deducted for: Expenses incurred in examining records of holders of property and in collecting the property from those holders. The fund balances will be utilized for the purchase of the software upgrade.

6. DoIT System Impact Purchase new software (server is already housed at DoIT Data Center) Production implementation of UPS2000 Replacement system will not impact DoIT – handled by TRD Executing system in a client/server environment will have minimal impact on the network bandwidth (15 users)

7. Security Strategy Will utilize the following security structure –Functions –Roles Will be incorporated into current TRD backup schedule: Weekly backups Will be incorporated in TRD Disaster Recovery Plan

8. Conclusion The UPS2000 upgrade will improve TRD processing of unclaimed property. Contains enhanced security, data integrity and audit trail capabilities, and improved user interface. New version has additional functionality for inventory handling and stock handling processes.
