2 Geographic Location Located in northern parts of North America, Europe, and Asia. Usually south of Tudras and north of temperate deciduous forests. Largest land biome on earth. Covers 50 million acres (17% of earth’s land area)

3 Taiga Temperatures Summer temperatures can reach 50 degrees F
Short summers can be 50 to 100 frost free days Winter temperatures can drop to -40 F or lower Up to six months of long severe winters
