English 10 Week 6

English 10 DO NOW 9/11/13 Let’s see what you remember about MLA format for essays. What are the margins lengths suppose to be? Font size/type? What information goes on the first page/where? What does in the header for each page? Then write me a few sentences explaining why you were able or not able to complete the assignments the last two days.

Eng 10 DO NOW: 9/12/13 Make an agenda for yourself. Today and tomorrow are work days. List the things you need to do in order of importance: Edmodo assignment: format a new word doc Noredink.com assignment (quiz if you failed Friday’s quiz) Short story topic

Sample agenda: Billy Bob does not have internet at home, so Billy Bob know he must use classtime for that work: Agenda: Thursday In class: Edmodo. At least get signed up with noredink.com At home: write out three possible story topics Friday: In class: Finish noredink.com. Write out the one topic I will create my story about. At Home: turn my story topic into at least 7 events. Plot those events in a plot chart

Ask any questions when I ask for questions Today, you are graded on how well you can be independent or helpful to your peers

English 10 DO NOW 9/13/13 Looking at your agenda from yesterday’s DO NOW, respond in complete sentences: Did you meet your goals for yesterday? If not, why? If so, did having the agenda help? If you were here, but didn’t make an agenda, are you also failing this class? (I bet there is a correlation here)
