Just about anything will “transfer.” Focus on whether or not it applies. That’s why the limited course list That’s why the cautions I am providing tonight State public institutions are governed by laws and regulations regarding applicability of the Texas Core Curriculum. Private and out of state institutions are not.

9 Paying for this We charge $150 for a three hour course
We charge $200 for a four hour course We have a payment plan as an option, costs $35 to initiate Using a payment plan half- tuition due in addition to $35 Remainder is divided out into payments across the remaining months of semester

Students must login to MyLeo and authorize parents to use Parent LeoPay Parents receive an to confirm and set up password Login to Parent LeoPay and will take you directly to payment screen Parents can see only account balance and payment history

13 TSI-Texas Success Initiative
Complete TSI Requirements The TSI is a placement assessment and not a college admission assessment. It is used to determine a student’s readiness for college-level coursework in the areas of Reading, Writing, and Math Students either “place” or “do not place” into courses

14 College Ready Scores Math= 350 Reading= 351
Writing= 340 and an Essay of 4 OR and an Essay of 5 See Page 9 in the Parent Handbook for a list of courses and their required prerequisite test There is no limit to number of retests Must pay test fee for each retest

15 TSI Exemptions ACT Must submit official scores to Texas A&M- Commerce

16 Cost & Scheduling February 8- new testers $10/section
March 28- re-testers All testing will be at TAMUC All testing for year must be complete by May 31, 2020 $10/section New students will take all 3 sections initially Pay at marketplace.tamuc.edu Must call to be placed on schedule for testing ( ) See page 29 for full instructions

17 Pre-Assessment Activity
All students are required to complete the TSI pre-assessment activity prior to testing This is not a test, but information about the TSI including study resources, sample questions, and practice tests

18 Testing Day Photo I.D. Required
Student must arrive by 8:00am-plan to arrive early Untimed Scores can be viewed in myLEO hours after testing Computer Based-Adaptive test Avgerage time is 3-5 hours for all three sections
