3. Position flange to the length of the uterus as measured by the sound

4. Insert plunger into the tube and carefully push IUD up to the top

5. Make sure the IUD projects just a few mm out of the tube

6. This creates a curved end for insertion

7. Fully insert the IUD into the uterus up to the blue flange

8. Holding the plunger steady, withdraw the tube, fully releasing the IUD into the uterus

9. To prevent pulling the IUD down, remove the plunger before withdrawing the tube, cut string
