At the end of today’s lesson, we will understand author’s purpose and how to identify it within a text and cite evidence to support our response.

During this semester, we will implementing these strategies more in the classroom.
As we read our novels, we will have activities that require you to work in your literature circles to discuss and respond to text.
We will hold various writing workshops using mentor text to improve our writing.
We will use our notebooks (reader & writer) to respond to text throughout the semester.
You will be responsible for maintaining and keeping your own work.
