1
Marine Cryogenic Cargo Valves
Main benefits
2
Manufacturer and supplier of industrial valves
Leading company since 1829 : SERGOT SCHLUMBERGER SNRI Part of Technor Group (Norway) since 2000 In its present location since 1950 ISO 9001 certification since 1994
4
Experience: 200 LNG carriers in service with SNRI LNG valves
More than LNG valves are operated on the 7 seas Involved in the LNG Industry since 1964 for the 1st LNG carriers and import Terminals: With the shipyards, Gas Transport and Technigaz With the Engineering companies and Gaz de France More than 220 contracts with 17 different shipyards (6 countries)
5
Our Philosophy: To design innovative products through comprehensive solutions for the end-users To propose products with the highest level of quality in due consideration of the harshness of the environment (Marine, Oil & Gas) To develop and maintain a powerful manufacturing facilities in compliance with the market trend and the cutomer’s needs in terms of delivery time and price
6
Our Line of conduct: To work with a network of qualified of partners and sub-contractors in the frame of a long relationships: Foundries from Western Europe Partners inside Technor Group and local partners All casting machinings are carried out at SNRI factory in order to monitor the quality of the castings All new improvements are submitted to a Qualification phasis under the witness of a Class Society Inspector Long life cycling test at cold temperature (5 000 cycles) Vibration or climatic test ….
7
Industrial improvements (I)
Production Facilities: Able to produce more than 3000 cryogenic valves per year 22 ship sets for LNG produced on 2005 27 ship sets for LNG produced on 2006 35 ship sets for LNG produced on 2007 30 ship sets for LNG produced on 2008 Able to manufacture more than 4000 valves for Marine application (LPG, chemical tankers,…) 5 Machining centres (4 TREVISAN , 1 DIEDESHEIM)
8
Industrial improvements (II)
New Welding facilities: 1 plasma arc deposit (stellite) 2 automatic welding machines (seat) TIG machine
9
Industrial improvements (III)
New dedicated cryogenic test hall: 4 test tanks 1 digital display on “real time” with Leakage rate (mass flow meter) Temperature (inside valve body) pressure WIFI connections 2 automatic ambient test benches Area designed for a full safety of the: Operators Inspectors
10
Industrial improvements (IV)
None destructive tests by SNRI QC dept: Dye penetrant test 3 D control by swivel arm Radiography Ultrasonic
11
Customer oriented deliveries
On-time delivery (ability approved by all the shipyards) 93 % on time on 35 shipsets delivered (year 2007) 20 days of average delay for the remaining 7% Able to supply on urgent basis: for order amendment for ships on service Huge stock of spare parts
12
Research & Development (I)
Continuous development of the cryogenic products since 1964: Optimisation and Validation of the flow characteristics and thermal expansion Real characteristics of the flow performances with: Flow calculation Dynamic test on a loop (+ real test with an LNG loop) Customisation according to customer’s needs (light disc for swing check valve,..) Thermal calculation (including for Ice Class LNG)
13
Research & Development (II)
Currents development: New Range of actuator: Full stainless steel Linear cylinder for throttling and On/Off application 1st harden actuator dedicated for LNG/LPG carriers Limited maintenance (full Stainless steel + modular design) EEx-ia product, developed within the Technor Group expertise in ATEX environment minimized interfaces for easy integration: Separated electric Junction box Simplified electrical wiring Low oil flow consumption (5 time less than standard actuator)
14
Research & Development (III)
Currents development: Cryogenic valve for very cold weather or subsea conditions: Valve able to operate up to – 100°C (ambient temperature) Able to be insulated for specific application (i.e. sub-sea operation). Long life time of the packing Development in cooperation with SNECMA
15
After Sales Services (I)
Worldwide Network specialized in After Sales support: Dedicated companies in the group: VALCO VALVES SERVICES in France VALCO VALVES & AUTOMATION in Norway (Bergen) Technical agreement with Maintenance & Valve companies: Japan (Mitsumoto Valve) Korea (Valstone) Singapore Qatar
16
After Sales Services (II)
Specialized Services engineers able to provide: Assistance at commissioning On- Site Maintenance Refurbishment Dedicated Repair Shop in France, Norway, Korea, Singapore Upgrading and modification Training (Approved Training center ): For end-users For Repair Yards Quick delivery for spare parts
17
After Sales Services (III)
Tailored solution to any specific needs of the end-user: Extended guarantee period if a supervision is performed by our Service engineer Consummable and components on-stock for a minimum availability period A Worldwide Supervision during periodical maintenance End-user specific training => 15 assistances for dry dock carried out in 2009
18
Since June 2009: Valco Group has been formed from the Norwegian and French valve operations of the former Flowtech division of Technor Group. The new group, with revenues of about USD 100 million in 2008, currently operates in the oil & gas, marine and energy & industry sectors.
