2. What is so cool about clay is that it’s squishy when it is wet, so you can make it any shape you like. Then it dries hard when left out in the air.

Some clay is red such as Terracotta clay
Some clay is white such as Stoneware clay.

4. Clay has been used for thousands of years by people to make pots, dishes, cups and vases, this is called pottery.
Clay is still used today to make pottery.

5. Clay can also be used to build houses and make tiles for rooftops.

6. Artists (just like you) use clay to make many different artworks and sculptures.
