2. Introduction Terra means "EARTH" & Cotta means "BAKED"
A type of earthenware or

5. Physical Properties of Terracotta
when it is in wet form, it has bad odor. But when it is baked and original terracotta is formed, then it is odorless . It appears red & brown in color.
has a rough texture, but can be finished when it is molded.

hollow blocks of terracotta are used for masonries

Generally the cost of terracotta is about 100 to 120 rs per kg.
Terracotta bricks costs 25 to 30 Rs. per brick.
