TAG Retirement Program 401(k) Aggregated Solution
Thank you for the opportunity to speak with you about the industry’s innovative “end to end” retirement solution. Today I’m going to walk through how to frame the Retirement Plan Exchange and how to present it to plan sponsors in a meaningful way. In order to sell the Retirement Plan Exchange, advisors will need to go through TRS. This solution is applicable to any size employer but is especially effective in assisting those employers who have retirement plan assets of under $10M. Before we begin to learn about the solution, however, I would like to ask 5 questions to allow you to understand the things we asked ourselves as we built the program. These are rhetorical questions so you don’t really have to answer but if you answer yes to any of these questions this program may not be right for you. 114813 02/19 For Broker Dealer Use Only– Not for Use With the Public.

TAG Retirement Plan Solution
Similar to payroll/HR outsourcing Tasks that are time consuming Require specialized knowledge Regulated Costly But key to the operation And has to be done correctly The TAG Retirement Plan Solution is essentially Retirement Plan Outsourcing. This is similar to Payroll or HR outsourcing and it means taking tasks that are time consuming, require specialized or expert knowledge to do right, are regulated by government or state agencies and are costly. But they are key to the operation of the company so have to be done right. TAG Resources essentially becomes the retirement department for clients, giving those clients the benefits that normally are only available to much larger companies For Broker Dealer Use Only– Not for Use With the Public.
8
Easier Safer Compliance Focused Cost Effective
The key benefits of the TAG outsourced retirement plan model are consistent with what most plan sponsors want in a retirement plan. Plan sponsors generally want a plan that is easier, safer, compliance focused and more cost effective than the typical retirement plan. As I am sure you can see, these four benefits have a direct correlation to the questions I asked at the beginning of my presentation. Lets look at each of these benefits for more details. EASIER TAG Resources performs virtually all administrative work on the retirement plan TAG Resources essentially becomes your company’s retirement department Your people are free to do other work that is more important to the company You do not need to have the knowledge to pick investment funds or have a committee with the knowledge to pick investments The TAG Retirement Solution is easier because TAG Resources performs virtually all administrative work involved in running the plan, essentially becoming your retirement department. This frees up your people to do work that is more important to your company. And TAG performs this work with people trained in retirement. You don’t even have to become knowledgeable about investment funds or require a committee of your employees learn about investment funds. This program has a professional investment management company not only picking the funds but also taking the fiduciary liability for picking those funds. From an administrative perspective, as a plan sponsor, you are required to perform the tasks illustrated here on the left – if you do not have this outsourced solution. These tasks include fiduciary and non-fiduciary functions. If you have a TPA, they may be performing some of the non-fiduciary functions but none of the fiduciary functions. SAFER Outsource fiduciary liability from the retirement plan to the fullest extent allowed by law TAG Resources accepts administrative fiduciary liability Mesirow Financial (hired by TAG) accepts investment fiduciary liability In 18 years of operation, TAG has never had a participant lawsuit on an administered plan. While the plan benefits from using these professional resources by creating shared liability, it does not absolve or remove responsibility from the plan sponsor. For Broker Dealer Use Only– Not for Use With the Public. TAG, as outsource provider, takes on virtually all the fiduciary liability on the plan. TAG accepts the administrative fiduciary responsibility by being a named fiduciary on the plan and by being the plan administrator while Mesirow Financial accepts the investment fiduciary liability by picking the fund menu and defending the menu against any claims.
12
COMPLIANCE FOCUSED ERISA experienced staff
ERISA Lawyers on staff and on retainer In 18 years of operation TAG has never failed a DOL random audit 3 of 4 of plans audited result in failure TAG retirement plans are administered by an experienced ERISA staff with the support of ERISA trained lawyers, As a result, in 18 years of operation, TAG have never failed a random DOL audit when in the rest of the industry 3 of every 4 plans audited by the DOL fail the audit. 13
COST EFFECTIVE TAG Retirement Plan is based on pooled concept
Pooling clients together for negotiation leverage with Recordkeepers and investment fiduciaries Negotiating with Billions vs Millions Outsourcing frees your resources for mission critical activities - further lowering costs Low cost Audits through pooling TAG’s Retirement program is based on a “pooled” concept, meaning that they have hundreds of clients that are “pooled” together to provide TAG with leverage in negotiating pricing with other providers such as Transamerica and Mesirow Financial. This allows TAG to have some of the lowest fees in the industry – even with the increased services they offer. Additionally, outsourcing retirement to TAG frees your resources for performing tasks that may be more important to the success of your business – which may reduce staffing costs. Additionally, if your plan currently or in the future requires an annual audit our audit pricing is very low due, again, to pooling and our audit firm does over 200 audits per year. Transamerica Believes Deeply in Participant Engagement
Transamerica believes deeply in participant engagement, and thus we provide resources to connect plan sponsors with their employees through every possible medium. One of those ways is through onsite employee workshops. Though we firmly believe the most effective way to drive participation is through our robust automatic and default mechanisms, we also offer workshops for employers who satisfy minimum attendee requirements (as determined in the plan proposal). for broker dealer use only. not for distribution to the public.

THE TRANSAMERICA APP Holistic Wealth + HealthSM experience Identify, prioritize, and pursue long-term and short-term goals Suggests simple, achievable steps toward reaching those goals The user journey on the Transamerica app starts with a few broad questions to give a high-level assessment of how someone’s wealth + health are doing at that particular moment. Based on that initial assessment, it then delivers tangible insight and guidance on what that user can consider doing next. This approach allows the app to discuss a variety of saving and investing guidance, so we can move from having a basic conversation with someone about budgeting and debt management to a holistic retirement wellness conversation. But that’s just the beginning of the experience. for broker dealer use only. not for distribution to the public.

DISCLOSURES About Probability Illustrations, Limitations, and Key Assumptions The probability illustrations generated from the engine are based on “Monte Carlo” simulations of 500 possible investment scenarios for a given time period and assume a range of possible returns. The illustrations are generated according to models developed by Morningstar Investment Management LLC, a leading independent provider of asset allocation, manager selection, and portfolio construction. The Your Retirement Outlook® graphic reflects the difference between the model’s estimated annual income (which corresponds to a 70% probability level of income in the investment scenarios simulated) and your annual income goal. When forecasting the probability of achieving your income goal, the model employs different returns for different asset classes, based on Morningstar Investment Management’s capital market assumptions developed using historical and forward-looking data. Forecasts of expected return, expected standard deviation and correlation among asset classes based on Morningstar Investment Management LLC's proprietary equity, fixed income, currency and risk models. Current assets are assigned to asset classes based on Morningstar Categories, and fees and charges inherent in investing are incorporated with an average fee assumption for each asset class. The benchmarks used for modeling the various asset classes are below. Return assumptions are updated annually; these updates may have a material impact on your projections. Return assumptions are estimates not guarantees. The returns you experience may be materially different than projections. You cannot invest directly in an index. Disclosures Unless you choose otherwise or your employer supplies different information, the probability illustrations assume retirement at the age at which you qualify for full Social Security benefits and an annual retirement income goal of 80% of your projected final working salary. Social Security estimates are based on the Social Security Administration methodology and your current salary. The probability illustrations also assume a consistent contribution percentage and asset allocation (no future changes or rebalancing unless you are subscribed to a managed account or a target date asset allocation service), annual inflation of approximately 2%, and annual salary increases based on a calculation that incorporates multiple factors including a salary growth curve and inflation. Mortality assumptions are based on the Society of Actuaries tables. The engine utilizes models, algorithms and/or calculations ("Models"), which have inherent risks. Models may incorrectly forecast future behavior or produce unexpected results resulting in losses. The success of using Models depends on numerous factors, including the validity, accuracy and completeness of the Model’s development, implementation and maintenance, the Model’s assumptions, factors, algorithms and methodologies, and the accuracy and reliability of the supplied historical or other data. If incorrect data is entered into even a well-founded Model, the resulting information will be incorrect. Investments selected with the use of Models may perform differently than expected as a result of the design of the Model, inputs into the Model, or other factors.
