Since its publication in 2006, TPACK has become one of the leading theories regarding edtech and edtech integration: research and professional development activities both draw from it heavily. 13 Knowledge Management As Gartner defines it, “Knowledge management is a discipline that promotes an integrated approach to identifying, capturing, evaluating, retrieving, and sharing all of an enterprise’s information assets. 16 Definition of Attitude A predisposition or a tendency to respond positively or negatively towards a certain idea, object, person, or situation. 17 Structure of Attitude 1: Cognitive Component: Cognitive attitude refers to a part of an attitude that interprets facts or has a definitive result or common knowledge of a topic. For example, I say do not drink and drive. My idea is called a cognitive component of attitude. 2: Affective Component: The effective attitude component is the feeling or expression of a state resulting in a cause and affects influence. For example, I say to you: drinking and driving are illegal. My influence stops you from driving after drinking. 3: Behavioral Component: The behavioral component is that part of an attitude which influences a response. For example, I say to you if you have more than one drink and you drive before you sober up you are a drunk driver. Generally, people will negative attitude ignore the good things in life and only think about whether they will fail. They often find a way out of tough situations by running away from it. They often compare themselves with other persons and find the bad in them only. 30 Neutral Attitude That mindset is a neutral one. There is no doubt. Neither is there any kind of hope. The people generally tend to ignore the problems in life. They wait for some other individual to take care of their problems. They generally have a lazy life and they are often unemotional. It is as if they don’t think about anything that much and doesn’t care for the same as well. 31 Sikken Attitude One of the most dangerous types of attitude and different is the sikken attitude. The sikken attitude has the caliber to destroy every image that comes in connection with a positive image. This type of attitude is more of a negative attitude and is very destructive. It often reflects the mind’s negativity. It is necessary to let go off this kind of attitude for the betterment of the self and the people around you. They are often difficult to be mended because the attitude is deep-rooted within one’s personality. Explicit knowledge includes the use of data, documents and manuals and can be “owned” solely by the organization and is not dependent on the individual. Tacit Knowledge: this is knowledge that is embedded within individuals and is based on their own experiences, cultural beliefs and values. TPACK stands for Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. It is a theory that was developed to explain the set of knowledge that teachers need to teach their students a subject. DIKW model explains the different levels of knowledge and the importance of each level.
